Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD:

’The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth,

to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.’
— Psalm 102:18-20

Today’s Text: Psalm 102:17-28 (Living Life Daily Devotional)

Once I was a prisoner to sin
To death I strode headlong in
To the left, to the right I did not glance
Headlong I strode a life-defying dance

But God looked down from His sanctuary on high
He heard my cry silenced by death
My cry for life couldn’t catch a breath
He heard my groans muzzled by death

But God sent His Son, God sent His Son!
To release my soul condemned to death
Resurrecting me with life-giving breath
And so I breathe, in Him I live

I praise You, LORD, for being mindful of me, a sinner. I was lost beyond lost, not even knowing how lost I was. But You created me, then rescued me. And so I praise Your glorious name. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
