In the Shadows
“Realities” of the world are just “shadows” of the spiritual realities. The “framework” or the “lens”, or whatever we want to call it, through which we can see the reality and navigate through it is the Word of God.
Diving In
It may be easy and pretty straightforward to learn and practice a presentation of the gospel message. But, really, the propositions of the gospel message is not the gospel, per se. The gospel is Christ in me through faith. The transformation of my life because of the truth of the gospel is the real message of the gospel.
Something from Nothing
People fall for the cult of personality all the time, because we all (deep down) want to be worshiped, on the one hand, and we all yearn for idols, on the other. Maybe that is why God insists that we make no image of Him—so that we can be reminded that our invisible God, who on the surface seems like nothing, could destroy and recreate this universe according to His will.
Foolish Wisdom
Only one thing unites the people of God: Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, resurrected, and returning. That is the wisdom of God.
A Mother’s Faith
With Mother’s Day coming up, I am reminded how these women were a part of God’s great plan of salvation for the world in Jesus Christ.
The Invitation
Would it be an exaggeration to say that every single person who ever lived desires to be in a community where God’s hesed is the culture that everyone aspires to? God’s hesed in a community is a powerful and attractive force that will lead to the salvation of many.
Love that Clings
If there were a greater sense of selflessness and loyalty in the church today, I wonder how much sooner the full number of the elect would be evangelized and how much sooner our Lord would return.
