None of us should ever get prideful about the fact that we have never been sued, either. The devil is always at the threshold, roaring like a lion, wanting to get at our throats. If we ever do feel prideful about that fact, we should just ask ourselves Paul’s question, “Why not rather be wronged?”

Something from Nothing

People fall for the cult of personality all the time, because we all (deep down) want to be worshiped, on the one hand, and we all yearn for idols, on the other. Maybe that is why God insists that we make no image of Him—so that we can be reminded that our invisible God, who on the surface seems like nothing, could destroy and recreate this universe according to His will.

Waters of Meribah

The highest moment in Moses’s ministry came when he interceded for the Israelites as God was ready to destroy them for their idolatry and restart His plan of salvation for the world all over again through Moses.
